beardie started hiding

Hey all!

I hope you had a great Valentine's Day with your beardie's heheheh

Question, is it normal for bearded dragons to go into hiding ?

Beardie started going into the hut yesterday and stays in there now :-(

I wonder if she's scared of something or maybe it's just that she finally figured out she can go in there lol.

She ate this am and I know for sure she's gone potty

Yup she's in that hut lol

She could be going into brumation.

It's basically hibernation. They could go into a semi brumation where they are still somewhat awake but slowed down. Or they could go into full brumation where they sleep for days, weeks or months. I haven't had any experience with full brumation yet. Mine have slowed down. Right now it's cold outside and my boy just sits on his hammock all day long with sleepy eyes. He doesn't poop in his tank, I have to give him a soak. He also doesn't want to eat every day. I made a special salad for valentines day and he never touched it

That might explain why she has been sleeping and not eating as much .

So I guess it's safe to say she's probably not sick lol I just offered her some of her favorite mango pieces

Yeah, just keep an eye on her and don't stress too much. She'll come around, she's probably just being lazy. I love that pic of her in her hide!

I guess she likes her cave lol she went in when I got home from the food run I put some crickets in for her and she sat inside picking them off as they came in the cave lol
