I have a 4 month old beardie and I have to go from Texas to Mississippi for my stepdads navy retirement ceremony. Would it be safe for me to bring my beardie with me? Would he get enough UVB from the sun in the car or should I bring his lights? Carriers that I should use? Thank you!!!

He's really young and needs to be fed multiple times a day. I would see if there is anyway you could leave him home and have someone come in to check on him and feed him. Maybe even a vet office or a place that a can board him.

UVB will not penetrate glass so in the car they wouldn't get any UVB coverage. If there is no way for them to bask under their basking lights for at least an hour(2 is best) they shouldn't be fed anything or else they won't digest properly. I know someone that travels with her beardie all the time and has a travel carrier and a temp tank when she gets to her destination but her dragon is also 2 years old and doesn't need the amount of protein a baby does.
