I’ve seen quite a few posts about clogged pores. I can’t say as I’ve ever noticed Dex’s pores. Mainly because Dex’s absolutely freaks out when I try to hold him in any position where I can take a look at them. He clings, scrambles and goes crazy if I hold him in my hands in any way but with his front half on one hand and his lower half in the other so his back is facing up. Even thinking about flipping him on his back is out of the question. He’ll hyperventilate himself into a frenzy. His preference for holding is hug style cuddled under my chin. Definitely can’t see his pores this way. Lol Suggestions on how I can get a look at his pores without stressing/freaking him out so he ends up hurting himself? I just want to make sure they are fine.

Try holding him up in front of you w/ your hands/ fingers under his arm pits so you can hold him up in front of you - or turn him around so his back is up against you and he can see forward and have someone look or you look while they hold him--

Great, thanks Sadie! I'll try having my daughter hold him with his back up against her while I look. I don't think he'll go for the arm pit hold, but might go for the other if he feels supported.

Sat him on my glass stand and saw his pores quite easily (thanks Skybug and Mom Zontar). I'm glad to report they are ok. Smallish and definitely not clogged. Phew! LOL
Thats good!, i think as long as you scrub them everytime he has a bath you should be fine(atleast thats what ive done with steffern for the year ive had her :) and she has big pores, not abnormal but big for a girl)

Yeah, actually quite easy once you all suggested the glass. Still doing the whole duh to myself! lol Dex has little pores and they look all healthy, which I'm glad. So far, I haven't thought about scrubbing them during a bath. Most I've ever done is used a soft toothbrush to help the shed on his tail during baths. Probably wouldn't hurt to do a swipe or two over his pores, though. Thanks, Skybug! :)
