Beardie not eating

My bearded dragon Apollo doesn't eat his greens at all. He does eat superworms but whenever I try to feed him greens he just ignores it. I had this problem with my other beardie but after a few days of her not eating she would give in and start eating the greens again. This isn't working for Apollo though and I'm getting worried. I told the vet this and she gave me a paste to syringe feed him when he started to lose weight. He did so I started to feed him it. He still isn't going to his greens though and I'm about to run out of the paste. Is this normal? What do I do?

Yes hes hooked on the super worms which are treat worms- how old is the dragon? Stop w/ the super worms and get a staple insect feeder fed 2-3 times per week for a adult dragon over a yr---- I would put him on dubia roaches I can post websites for those - here is a website for nutrition ignore the kale info its out dated
http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html
get some BSFL www.symtonbsf.com order large and use them to lure him to the salad bowl - they are another staple feeder use like 20-25 on top of the salads first thing in the morning -- you will need a bowl similar to this to keep them in https://www.amazon.com/MACGOAL-Reptile-Ceramic-Leopard-Bearded/dp/B084VJJWTV?tag=exoticpetnetw-20
Hes got you trained so NO more super worms --- he wont starve himself so feed the salads every morning w/ the BSFL on top drop them in the bowl in front of him -- start w/ those then feed the dubias every couple of days - for an adult dragon they usually eat large roaches --- here is a website for roaches that has a size chart to go by www.dubiaroaches.com

Okay I'll try that. Since he won't starve himself is it okay that he's losing weight? I'm guessing his past owners were only feeding him insects since I just got him.

How long have you had him? Did the previous owners say anything about what he ate or what his diet was? And no its not ok for him to be losing weight--- was a parasite test done? If not take a fecal in and have it tested --NO enemas- this could one cause for losing weight-- please go over the lighting in the tank UVB how old coil or long tube fixture? Surface basking temps and how your getting them ---- NO stickons they are inaccurate and you want 2 digital probe thermometers one for hot side of tank and one for cool side of the tank

The temps and the lighting are good for sure. And he was abandoned at a store so I couldn't get any info from the last owners. I've had him for about a month and a half. And yeah I agree I have to put in a fecal sample

What exactly are the surface basking temps and the uvb distance and placement is key for the dragon to be eating if this is off he won't eat

Surface basking - 101 f and the uvb light is across his whole enclosure about 13 inches far

It's a month old and it's the reptisun 10.0 t5 tube light
Ok good deal ---- so I would get a fecal in to rule out parasites --- hes eating something which is good -- but the losing weight not so much -- we can rule out temps and UVB for not eating --- parasites would cause lack of appetite and weight loss --

I had that issue with mine tbh. Both of them. Wanted nothing to do with greens so I started making a salad for them. With super worms topped on top. Calcium, I got the banana strawberry one as they hated the regular one. Also bought bee pollen. Sprinkle that on top. After a few days they were hooked. So they love their greens now.
