Beardie not eating, not active

I have had my bearded dragon for about 7 months. No health issues previously. Recently he has stopped eating nearly as many dubia as he used to (just a couple a day) and does not bask (at least when I check). I did make a change to his tank decor, and then a few days later his mercury vapor bulb did go out. For UVB I replaced with a reptisun 10.0 strip light. This has been going on for a few weeks now and I am getting worried. Can anyone make a suggestion as to what I should do?

Thanks for your help.

Just to make sure, you are using a heat lamp along with the strip UVB right? I ask because the MVB bulbs have it all built in.

Dragons are good at regulating how much protein they need as they get older. They will tend to eat less as they start getting closer to a year. As long as he is still eating something I wouldn't be too concerned.

Mine went from wanting to eat 3x a day as babies to only wanting to eat 2x a day then to 1x then to every other day.

Yes, I have the heat lamp in that I had prior to the MVB. I went ahead and ordered a new mega-ray mvb. Hopefully that will make him happier.

They don't really like change sometimes, make sure your husbandry is spot on, when was the last time you had him vetted? How is he doing
