Is it a beardie thing to sleep like the dead? I mean every night? When his lights go out it doesn’t take Dex long to fall asleep and I’m talking a dead sleep. He’s always been that way. Since he’s discovered his hanging plant near his hammock that’s where he sleeps now. He’ll wiggle himself into the branches (sometimes I think it can’t be comfortable) and balance there and as soon as his lights go out he’s gone. TV doesn’t bother him, house lights don’t affect him, company coming and going won’t wake him. I’ve even adjusted him a few times because it looked like he may fall out (especially now that he’s bigger) and still he won’t wake. Once he kind of opened his mouth a little bit like he was warning me, but his eyes didn’t open and he was still all limp. You’d think being a prey creature (so to speak) that they wouldn’t sleep so soundly . . . that their little spidey senses would still be on full alert even when sleeping. It’s freaky. I constantly have to check to see if he’s still breathing. Lol Is it just Dex or do they all do that?

Well mine is out like a light when his lamp goes off. He doesn’t like bright lights so I usally put a blanket over the cage until I go to bed. Since he’s not in the wild he will be fine because there are no predators in your room lol. But yeah he’s fine. He’s problaby just a deep sleeper
