I have been wondering if I get a bearded dragon that get 24in long what I would keep him in when he is full grown. I have an offer of a 75 gallon tank that is 48in long. Still that would be a bit confining.

What do you keep yours in when it reaches 24in in?

I have a 40Gal 36" x 18" x 18"

It is not very often that a dragon will hit 24"; they can however more than likely you will hit between 18" - 22"

If you get a 4ft enclosure you are more than fine; 40Gal is more than adequate as well; but as mentioned above bigger is always better; and kinder in the end giving them more run about room.

the 75 gallon I have been offered is 48in long. Have you put branches for it to climb on in the tank? For I read that some like to climb.

I have a 55 gal that's 48"x18"x12" Izzy is a year old and is about 15" long she gets time outside of her tank as I am at home, she can run around a safe room. but she is just fine and happy basking on her log watching us (we keep the mesh tops off as she stays put and it helps my UVB reach her)
