So my bestfriend went on vacation and forced my into watching her bearded dragon. I have 0 experience with reptiles whag so ever ( i'm a chinchilla/cat/dog ) kinda person so i'm most familiar with mammals.. never reptiles. She gave me prepare meals filled with greens, apples, peppers, blueberries, carrots, and broccoli and said to mix and match whatever I wanted, as well as be sure to sprinkle on the calcium powder. Well here is our routine:
Morning time: Turn on the 2 sets of white lights ( unsure of what they are called ) and keep the purple light on as well. Feed the bearded dragon the mixture of greens with calcium powder and wake her up. At night turn off the 2 white lights and put the lizard to sleep. This has been the routine for 3 days. On the fourth day she wanted me to check the temp and claimed it was too hot so I should shut the purple light off during the day and only turn it back on at nighttime. So that's what i've been doing, on the 4th day I was told to put her in a lukewarm bath so she could get some hydration. Throughout this time she seemed to eat on days 1, 3, and 4. After the bath, she seemed too poop/pee for the first time and then became extremely active , running all around my room happily. Each day I take her out for an hour to let her breathe however this was the only time in which she was this active. I have tried to refrain from moving her around a lot of take her out of her habitat since she was in a new environment. However, when I put her in the bath I noticed the end of her tail is dark. She has a bent tail however she was purchased like this at the pet store so the only thing out of the ordinary is this spotted browning. She seems very lively and happy now, and is eating. However the discoloration worried me and I was wondering what I should do in this situation? I have followed all the guidelines I was given an am just unsure. Today she seems to be extremely happy, and has reacted how her owner said she would. I am unsure if she's just stressed or if this is something to be concerned about. I noticed this around Monday evening and checked pictures on Sunday and she did not have the discoloration. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Tail rot usually starts in a tiny spot, if his whole tail was truly rotting it would be falling off at this point, rot doesn’t creep up the tail the way ud think, it rots , falls off, then rots again then falls off.

The tail is fine it looks like its going to shed ------ but the purple light needs to go --- please explain to your friend any colored lights are going to hurt the dragons eyes they have a 3rd eye on top of their heads for predators and they can actually see better than us - it disrupts sleep and can cause long term eye damage --- please get rid of it -- if she needs heat at night she needs to invest in a CHE ceramic heat emitter but she only needs that if the temp in the tank is falling below 65 at nite-- dragons like it cool and dark and nothing above 75 at nite ---- you want to mimic the sun as far as lighting and colored lights do not do that ------ please make sure basking temps are being taken w/ a digital probe thermometer ---- the substrate is not a good one either I hate to say --- if the dragon were to ingest a piece it could potentially cause internal damage if its sharp ---- we are not here to criticize but just observing what we see and are concerned for the well being of the dragon ---- if you need more help please ask ---
