My beardie is small for his age and I was wondering if he will ever be able to grow to the average height. Right now he is about 15 inches and I still have to weigh him. he eats about 40-60 bugs a day and he has a t5 HO 24'' reptisun for lighting and his heat is around 90-100. I'm at a loss, is there anything I can do to make him grow. I also wanted to mention that when he was younger he was badly taken care of! he was eating 7 mealworms a day and had improper UVB.

Where is your T 5? Is it in the tank or on top of the screen ? Improper placement and distance will effect everything about his health-- basking temps should be 95-100 for a adult / juvie dragon -- how are you taking the basking temps?

It's a 24w 10.0 and it's in the tank about 11- 12 inches from his basking rock. I use a digital thermometer.

Ok good placement-- the digital thermometer has a probe? He may have a growth at some time-- they can grow till they are 2--keep his lighting good how old is your uvb? If it's close to year change it out I change mine a month prior to expiration- give him a good diet greens and worms a variety like horn super meal BSFL-- a good staple feeder like dubias- all those added into his diet will help- if you need websites or help please ask

Thank you! I've been reading a lot that they stop growing at 1 and I was starting to panic! His UVB is only about 2 months old so I think I'm good there. Could you please send me a link for hornworms? I can't seem to find ones that are smaller than an inch.
