Hi! I own a 6 month old bearded dragon. I am a college student, and right before Thanksgiving, I moved back home due to campus shutting down for the pandemic. My bearded dragon has been slowly adapting to the new sounds and smells, including our family's two dogs. He has been eating and pooping regularly until the past week to two weeks. Recently, he has been hiding all day, whereas before he would bask for at least half of the day. He doesn't bask anymore or want to hunt. He eats still, but only when the dubia roaches run right in front of him. He is still eating about 10-30 dubias a day. I give him a bath weekly. His skin looks excellent. He is still pooping, just a little less frequently than he was a month ago. In the past few days, he had no desire to eat greens anymore, only dubia roaches. I am very concerned why he is hiding all day.
Nothing about his diet, habitat or lighting has changed. The location has been the same for over a month now as well. I covered the tank with a towel, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Any ideas or suggestions?

Please don't cover him up anymore- 6 month old dragons do not brumate-- we need to go over the lighting in the tank--- UVB brand and bulb? Coil or tube? Basking temps what are they and how are you taking them? No stick ons they are inaccurate--

I'm not covering him up - he just hides under his log. Should I just remove this from the tank altogether?
The UVB bulb is the Evergreen 100 W UVB bulb - I actually got the advice from someone on a previous forum. I have it over the center of the tank while the basking bulb is in the corner where his rock and bandana are closer to height wise.

The basking bulb is the 75 W Repti Basking Bulb.
I use the probe temperature and hygrometer. Temps on hot side are usually 100-105 F and cool side is 80-85 F. Humidity is typically 15-20%. Cools down to 75 at night and 25% humidity

Please get rid of the UVB evergreen bulb--- I have had others use those bulbs and they are not good-- I recommend you replace it w/ a 24" zoo med hood for

I can do that. But he has had this bulb all of his life and it has never been a problem. His behavior just recently changed.

Please get rid of the UVB evergreen bulb--- I have had others use those bulbs and they are not good-- I recommend you replace it w/ a 24" zoo med hood for a 40+ gallon tank--- and a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 bulb- these are the best on the market at this time - please get this replaced ASAP-- the fixture will come w/ a 5.0 bulb hang onto it for a back up- as long as your basking bulb is a bright white basking bulb and keeping appropriate temps that is good-- but the UVB is the reason for the behavior-- the basking temps and the UVB are the TWO MOST IMPORTANT things in the tank
