Dry pellets just are not really good for them even if you premoisten them they just lack the good nutrition of live food, kicks in their prey driven behavior and well it's what they ate in the wild.

Monkey biscuits are the best "dry food" for your reptiles you will need to moisten them of course but they are loaded with nutrients fairly cheap a friend told me about them he used to feed them to his iguana and beardie btw moisten because they do swell we all know what that will lead to

Please do not recommend monkey biscuits to anyone else. Its basically processed filler product with added vitamin and mineral powder. Here is a list of the common ingredients in them:

Aside from them being heavily mechanically processed, they often have a number of chemical preservatives and additives that not only are not beneficial but are quite possibly detrimental.

My vet recommended the Mazuri pellets and my girls loves them. She's not a picky eater though. So the pellets are always there and I'll throw worms and veggies in once a day

Ya I've had vets recommend canned cat food too unfortunately. I wish that 'vet recommended' always meant it was good advice, but most vets don't know that much about reptiles. Im not saying that the pellets are horrible, but a good varied fresh diet is always better than anything processed. Pellets are like us replacing a healthy diet with vitamins and supplements. They can help with nutritional shortcomings, but a healthy, varied diet is always the best.

It's great that you put the greens and inverts in there each day though. Thats what will keep your dragon healthy and growing. Try to get as large a variety as possible with both the veg and live foods and you won't have to worry about nutritional deficiencies.

I feed my dragon live feeder and veggies of course, but I do offer him Flukers "Buffet Blend".

He LOVES it. The only commercial food he would touch. Hopefully, it's a decent diet as it's from Flukers.
