My bearded dragon is 1 year old , I recently got her a 160 watt mega ray mvb and used it as a basking spot , I put it there I’d say 15 inches away from her. I notice her eyes were closed while basking, so I took her out. The same thing happened for 4 days I thought it was a normal thing . But now she won’t open her eyes when she’s outisde the cage , even when I take her a bath she won’t open her eyes. The only time when she opens her eyes is when she gets moved a lot, but only for 5 seconds and closes it again. Is it the like that caused this? Is it too much UVB? How can I help my bearded dragon, helpp please

But when she is awake, she is very active running everywhere and she eats a lot , crickets and sometimes crickets with calcium, I would also give her carrots and lettuce

1. Swap out lettuce for collard or mustard greens, possibly kale though that's still controversial.
2. Unless you have a very large enclosure, a 160 watt is most likely way too strong and could be causing some eye strain. Swapping it for a quality bulb in the 75-100 watt range is a good idea, especially if it's the bulb that is the problem. A vet visit might be in order to examine her eyes.

I don’t really think it’s the eyes , my bearded dragon is sleeping the whole day. Could it be her hibernating ? Also is a mvb mercury basking bulb good for basking light ? And how far should I put it away from the cage ?
