Ive had my bearded since 2014. He has always behaved differently than how ive read they behave, but lately its even weirder. Sometimes, he will crawl to a dark place and fall asleep for weeks, then wake up and eat. He did that a month or two ago. But now hes awake every day, but he doesnt move or eat. He just looks at me. I wouldnt be worried if he was sleeping like normal, but hes out in the open this time. As far as i can tell, he hasnt lost weight. Any tips on what could cause this? Could he be having stomach problems or something? Also, how long do they live for, im seeing conflicting answers on Google.

Thanks.

Dragons can live up to 15 years I ve seen longer- we need to go over your surface basking temps-- how are you getting them no stick ons please digital probe thermometer-they are the most accurate - uvb is it a coil or a tube? Where is the uvb and how old is the bulb? Coils are inadequate and killers of dragons- once we establish this we can move in to getting it fixed- your dragons health depends on these things being spot on

I used a digital probe and the surface of basking spot is about 95 with it being 91 in the air. Im using this for UV, dont remember the last time I replaced it, probably when the last one died a couple years ago: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PNK42W8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

those are good bulbs and need to be replaced in approx one year please replace it tomorrow --- your dragon has been getting NO UVB and that is why your getting the behavior ---- also these bulbs have certain placement and distance --- thats going to depend on the screen your using --- for a wide hole type the fixture can sit on the screen8-10 inches w/ the basking decor directly underneath if its a fine mesh like a screen door it needs to go inside the tank approx 12-15 inches directly above the basking decor piece --- please replace the bulb as soon as you can

Ok his fixture actually broke when i tried to install a new bulb, so we are gonna get him a new fixture and bulb. In the meantime, we are taking him outside in the sun. Thanks, I hope that helps

Good do that till you can get your new fixture --- depending on how hot it is for as long as you can sitting on you -- let me know when you get it so I can help you place it for your tank - screen will determine on placement and distance
