Ive had my beardie for almost a year come this December, but he recently has not been eating and is now showing signs of weight loss. Getting worried. Even turning down favorite foods, and seems to be sleeping more often. Any advice would be appreciated.

What kind of UVB are you using and what are your basking temps? How are you taking them? NO stickons digital probe only and NO coils for a UVB -- this is the first signs of improper lighting when they quit eating -- he looks terrible ---- what are you feeding but first we need to get the lighting figured out here ASAP ----

You need a 24" fixture https://www.pangeareptile.com/colle...o-med-reptisun-t5-hood?variant=26907425734756 this will come w/ a 5.0 bulb you need a 10.0 bhttps://www.pangeareptile.com/collections/t5-lighting/products/zoo-med-reptisun-10-0-uvb-t5?variant=26907418591332 22" for a 40 + gallon tank --- when you get the UVB please post back on here and I will help you get it set up in the tank distance and placement is key here - what are the basking temps and how are you taking them?
In the meantime get him outside for some good UVB 15 minutes in direct sun sitting on you or longer - do this till the UVB comes in --- in the meantime get rid of the coil --- use the outside sun --- dragons will not eat w/out proper basking temps and UVB --

Please get him off the loose substrate --- you can use get some textured NON adhesive shelf liner cut to the size of the tank --- clean w/ vinegar/ water solution 50/50--- loose substrate harbors bacteria and can also cause impaction -- his diet is pretty good but we need to get him eating something and the correct lighting is going to do this along w/ correct basking temps -- I dont see any gauges in the tank for temps ---- please get 2 of these
https://www.pangeareptile.com/colle...rometers/products/zoo-med-digital-thermometer and you need a digital probe hygrometer as well pangea does not carry the probe hygrometer w/ out temp
place probe on the back center wall of the tank and it will read the whole tank -- you need the digital thermometers for the hammock IR guns do not read off of hammocks

Ok so get it unobstructed NO screen the T 8's are not strong enough to go thru it -- get a piece of basking decor directly underneath it 6-8 inches when the T 5 comes in let me know --- please do not feed anymore spinach - kale mustard greens turnip greens and collards are great staple feeders --- your dragon has not been able to absorb / synthesize the calcium you have been feeding w/ the coil - please start dusting insects ONLY w/ calcium D3 - 5 x per week ONCE per feeding - offer him insects 2 times per day -- feed salads every day ignore the kale thing its a good staple http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html
make sure the insects are good a gut loaded before feeding - DO NOT FEED the dragon carrots if your feeding the insects too much Vit A -- also get some vitamins w/ beta carotene dust the insects 2 x per week ONCE per feeding both supplements lightly coated --- hes probably got MBD developing and you want to stop it now the UVB is going to do that along w/ the calcium you feed him BUT he has to have the proper UVB to do that --- take the screen off or have it half way on but you want him getting the full effects of the UVB rays

You bought a Reptisun correct???????????
