Bearded dragon feeding

Hi all, my partner and I have just recently purchased a baby bearded dragon for the daughter.

I have read that the should eat about 50 crickets a day. We are currently feeding it on locusts and it dosent really see you be that interested in eating them, possibly only 5 or 6 a day. Can anyone advise me dose this seem right as I think it maybe under eating.

if you guys just got him/her, i wouldn't worry too much. they may just be dealing with relocation stress. i was having the same issue with my baby a few days ago, and now he loves his crickets! give him some time to settle in. it can also be good to try some variety, as beardies can be picky. maybe try crickets or dubia roaches!

It took ours a while also, but I also had to make some changes to help.
Do you know if you have everything correct in your set-up?

Mine took almost 12 days before he started eating.

Hi yeah , we bought a whole set from a pet store which was set up prior to collecting the gear.

i’m not sure what kit you got, but sometimes the kits don’t have the proper lighting and space! super annoying because it makes pet owners think it’s good when that’s not always the case. can you attach a photo of your beardies enclosure and lighting?
