What do I do for him, he's been to vet,he's dislocated,is on pain meds, other than surgery how do I fix this?
Oh dear please post a pic of him and his lighting UVB especially this is going to help heal the shoulder -- how did he do this? How old is the dragon - I would get all his climbing stuff out of the tank so he is not climbing anymore - UVB should be long tube fixture and lowered to around 13 inches for a T 5 bulb directly above the basking decor piece - roll up some dish towels so he can prop him self up on that - surface basking temps should be taken w/ a digital probe thermometer-- I am going to flag Tracie shes the vet tech on the forum - what kind of meds and how much please?

Hello,

Sorry this happened. What pain meds did the vet give him? How did they determine he had dislocated
his shoulder?
Please review your UVB lighting & supplementation just so we can be sure everything is correct. In order
to dislocate his shoulder, that would have to be quite a fall to do that unless his bones are weakened or
somehow compromised. Are you using a T5 high output tube bulb & if so, what brand is it?
As Sadie suggested, it would be best to keep his basking area lowered so he doesn't have to climb to
bask & move his arm/shoulder from climbing.
For pain, you can also try some Serrapeptase liquid which is an all natural silkworm enzyme that helps
with pain, swelling & inflammation.
