bearded dragon Brumation

looking for some advice my bearded dragon has been sleeping a lot the last couple of months i know that they go into brumation but is it normal for him to be sleeping for a week then up for a few days then back into hiding for a week again. i have checked the temperatures and humidity everything is normal and hes eating fine when hes awake, im abit worried because sometimes he goes a few weeks without pooping even though hes eating a lot when hes up, any advice would be appreciated thanks

Your describing semi brumation --- have you weighed him lately? If not please get a kitchen food scale weigh in grams and keep track - if hes losing weight there is a issue - what staple insect are you feeding him? His surface basking temps are what? How are you taking them? NO stick ons please-- digital probe thermometers are the most accurate -- what type of UVB are you using? a coil or a long tube fixture - we need to rule these things out first before deciding its a semi brumation - what are your temps where you are ? summer ? winter? all these play a factor in the behavior of the dragon --
