So I've had Uluru for 6 weeks now. He is almost 9 inches long and started his third shed today. I keep looking at his underside to see if he's male or female but I can't tell. However today as he was shedding his belly I walked by his tank and he started flaring his beard for the first time. Is this a good indication that he is male, or do they all do that at some point. Also, a couple weeks ago he did the arm wave thing, but only once. Just curious.

Well, as you know hand waving is a submissive act.

And yes, they all flare their beards. If he is shedding, it could have been stretching to loosen up the skin in his beard. Just some food for thought. I wouldn't feel comfortable saying it was male or female based on puffing beards.
