I've been giving my beard that a rescued baytril injections everyday for over a week. When I went to inject him last night the plunger was stuck as if something was clogging the needle. So I removed the needle from him and tried to figure out what was wrong.
I was able to pull the plunger up but not down. When I tried to force it it squirted out the top. At this point I had that needle and 3 others. The next 2 had the same issue. That last one was fine so I injected him with that. However now I have 3 "bad" needles and only one of them has baytril in it because I didn't try to force that one. The vet is closed on Sundays so I can't give him his injection today. And I don't think I'll be able to get to the vet till Thursday! I'm freaking out. I don't want to have gotten this far and have to do a whole new round of shots just because the needles were screwed and he couldn't finish his "term". I know baytril can take a while to show signs it's working if it even does but he seems a little better already and I'd hate to mess up his healing process.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do?
