Baking Soda in Reptile Room?

I was thinking of sprinkling some baking soda on my carpet and vacuuming it up after an hour, but I’m not sure how safe it would be for my beardie.
He romps around in that room a lot so I was wondering if he’d be okay.
Should I use as little as possible, multiple passes with the vacuum, not do it all, or anything else?

Hello,

As long as it is not the deodorized baking soda for carpet cleaning, it will be safe.
Just be sure you have vacuumed up the baking soda off of the carpet well before
he runs around. It isn't toxic though so a little bit of residue will be just fine.
