He is cute. I tried to give my beardie a bath and a first he wiggled. Then he soaked very calmly and closed his eyes and just chilled for maybe 5 minuts then he wanted out!!! Lol. I need to get a bigger tub so he cant get out if he wiggles.

I always feel so bad when Baby wiggles all around in the water because he tries desperately to get out, but then he calms down and just stands very still, and then if I try to pet him he freaks out again and starts wiggling all over the place! I know it is for his own good though, especially now that he is shedding. He is taking FOREVER to shed! He has been dark bearded and dark colored for 3 weeks now and he just shed a little bit the other day, but I know he's not done shedding because hes scratching his face on his hammock and his log. Does anyone know why some beardie's shed for this long? I know sometimes it can be a process but this seems odd. Not to mention I feel so bad for him because he is so grumpy and stressed and the only time he gets lighter is if I take him outside in the sun or when I snuggle with him before bed. He also has refused anything to eat today, which of course is worrying me to death! I think everyone here who reads my posts already knows I worry like crazy about the little guy!

Let him wiggle in the tub....it isn't going to hurt him and the exercise is good. I put Spike in the deep end and let him wiggle to the shallow end where he can touch the bottom of the tub. Warm baths and misting are good for shedding. I agree with the prolonging of the shed. Don't know why that is but I guess the beardie does. If he doesn't eat for a day that is ok. If it goes on for days then that is another issue. Sometimes I don't feel like eating so I don't! Beardies are tough little creatures and they loooove to worry the 'hell' out of their owners!! As long as temps are good, he's eating and pooping then Baby is probably ok. He will get rid of his shed sooner or later and then the little booger will start all over again!! Hang tough kiddo....Once Baby gets bigger and older it does get a little easier....:D
