Can you go over ur lighting? Usually its a light issue, absolutely NO coil/“compact” uvb bulbs, you NEED a long tubular uvb, temp wise babies like it hotter 105-110, make sure you have a digital probe thermometer, stick ons only message air temp, what kinds of vitamins is he getting ? He needs calcium with d3, and a multivitamin.

Those are what i use, so its not that. Im thinking ur uvb is old or isnt up to par, lighting is usually the main factor of a dragons health, can u confirm you dont have a coil bulb? These are bad for alot of reasons.

No that’s perfect, keep that up, everyone does Supplementation differently and thats okay, as long as ur close to “every other feeding, dust” ur good, and yeah looking at ur fixture you’re gonna probably have a coil uvb bulb, those are bad, they either offer too much uvb or little to none at all, I strongly recommend you get a new uvb set up, the pictures I attached are what you want, a zoomed fixture or the arcadia are what most of us use here, if and when u get the new uvb hang it inside the enclosure, your screen is reflecting up to 30% of the uvb……. Lighting is THE most important thing, he will only get worse if he doesn’t get proper uvb, its good a little sun comes in his enclosure, but again it’s being filtered out..

Please get rid of the coil UVB if that is what your using --- coils are hazardous to dragons-- you need the long tube fixture like Skybug posted --- this is the reason the dragon is not eating ---- he cannot absorb his calcium your feeding him ---- this UVB is crucial and needs to be purchased ASAP -- when you get the new UVB please post back on here when you get the new fixture I will help you get it placed --- you want a 24" fixture for a 40 + gallon tank and 18" high ---- www.pangeareptiles.com

Please stop propagating the "CFL is bad" myth. The fact that some CFL bulbs emitted dangerous levels of UVC was back in 2007 and was corrected circa 2009.

Source: http://www.uvguide.co.uk/phototherapyphosphor-tests.htm

Just like the "unsafe" Chevrolet Corvair and the Ford Pinto, some problematic units are blown out of proportion, and the myth lives on and on because most people continue to propagate them.

With that said...

OP: Has anything changed recently? What brand and model of bulbs are you using? How fresh are these bulbs?

Regarding the dragon, does it seem to be shedding or about to shed? Or does it seem to be brumating (basically sleeping all day long)?

Ive looked around quite a bit, a LOT of problems stem from compact/coil, i myself have experienced the bad affects of coil bulbs, my dragon became lethargic, started closing one eye, stopped wanting to eat, only till i came here did i see how/why they’re bad, the uvb fulcrum that a cfl/coil/compact bulb creates is way to harsh , or completely nonexistent, this is a lizard that spends 70% of its day under uvb, why offer lighting thats sub par? And a comparison between a car and a light bulb ….idk man

UVB needs to be replaced every six months as well, once you get the T5. This is how they digest food so this is very important to have spot-on.
