Baby Bath Time Question

Now that Dexter is comfortable enough to hang with me outside his cage, I'd like to give him his first bath. I know to keep water very shallow and warm and to have constant surveillance, but I'm not sure about how long he should bath for? Seymore (juvenile) loved to hang out in his baths for about 20-25 minutes before he'd climb out and find a basking spot. His bathing bin was deep enough for baths, but didn't have high sides so I left it up to him on when he wanted out. Seymore was comfortable running around and old enough that I didn't worry and just monitored. I'd set his tub in a sunny spot on the floor and he'd chill until he wanted out. With Dexter he's so small and new that I don't dare take this approach with him. Any suggestions on time and any other bath time tips that will make this a good experience for Dexter?

Hello, if your bearded dragon doesn't like baths I would suggest limiting the amount of baths he or she is taking since bearded dragons don't really need baths they're mostly for enjoyment.

Hello, I like to use very shallow nuke warm water and continue doing it every week. Your bearded dragon may just not like taking baths which is fine every bearded dragon is different. I have a bearded dragon who is 3 years old and still hates baths!

Hi! My girl hates taking baths for such a long time. I had to keep her on my hard or arm where ever she’s choose and just have a container filled with her water and take a small bottle and run it over her like a shower. I did that and slowly worked her into sitting in the bath with the water still running over her and then soon just took out the bottle and kind of just tossed water on her back. It took me a few months but now she loves baths. With your especially if it’s young I think it’s feel more comfortable to be touching you or you hold it while you have it a shower/ bath
