Starting a roach colony to feed my 2 beardies and 3 other herps. I've got roach haters in the house(myself included) and have to keep them outside. Any tips?
What if I blacked out the cage they are in? Don't have a garage or basement and am forced to keep them outside or go broke.. I live in SoCal so it stays warm at night out here. I have a heat pad for the winter when temps do drop. I understand I will lose more than those kept inside but I'm ok with that, due to their high breeding rate. I know someone out there has my same problem.
What are they in now?? I have mine in a big tote and I wrap a towel around it but I'm from wi I just have mine in the basement...let me think about what you could do I'll come up with something
A ten gallon tank with egg crate. Just got permission to move them into a shed that's always dark, warm because its a tin shed and heats up in the sun. Sound better?
Honestly the heat makes them breed faster I'm not sure how hot is too hot may want to research that but I think it's like between 95-100 you want to keep them at roughly
Check how to breed dubia roaches. The only problem with breeding outside is mites. The shed should be fine. But add mite paper to the bottom of the bin
