easy, girl. a lot of us are at work or school right now. I havent tried clover - but it sounds ok. be sure to wash the stuff from your yard real good - ya dont want any chemicals !!
Canicke; Thanks I looked it up and it's only for a treat and I have it growing all over in the yard. My little rescue baby will eat just about everything there is to eat lol. Poor baby. she's had her supper and ready to go to sleep. But she is coming along good.Tks, so much river-7
I do love what she has done over at BeautifulDragons, but some of her chart could use a bit of work. This is one of those that in my opinion needs improving. Clover is very nutritious, and does not need to be relegated to a treat. Its high in calcium, has a great Ca : P ratio, and also is high in many other nutrients. Its almost as good as alfalfa, which is saying a lot. I will qualify this with the fact that clover is decently high in oxalic acid however, but I personally think oxalic acid isnt the boogeyman that people are making it out to be for other animals. Anyway, if you want to look at the nutritional content of it (and other common hay grasses) closer here is a link:
Jarich; I was talking about green clover that you find in your yard-that articale if more or less for guinea pigs, rabbits ect; I shouldhave posted my post diff; it should of read green clover.river-7
I think you are actually talking about white clover, unless Im mistaken. The colour refers to the flower that blooms rather than the plant itself. Most people have white clover in their yards
