I've been trying to look for some new decor ideas and the images I see are nice. However, they dont provide links to buy the items. The only other things I see on petsmart and other stores are a little tacky looking. I was looking for something a bit more realistic and well done. Any ideas? If you would like can you post photos of your setups as well.

Thanks!

All of this decor w/ the exception of the rock under Blazes UVB is from Pet Smart --- they have real nice decor -- you need to go into the store and look if you can

The piece Blaze is sitting on was a All Living Things brand and Thrive bought it out its the same piece but it is made out of a different material now -- it looks more rustic than his piece does -- go look tho they do have nice decor --- the piece that hes sitting on gives different gradient heat temps --

You want to use natural decor items not only do they hold heat better but it gives them much more textures and smells etc . They can rub on them for sheds like rocks and such plus if you got the same decor as me it would look differently and unique still as everything in nature. Most decors from Petsmart and such are made from plastics like poly resin etc that can release VOC when heated and we have no idea of the adverse long term effects of using these resins tars and heating them putting them in humid or non humid environments they defiently release VOC

Do you have any forests near by or large parks? You can find and relocate a dead branch to your home :) (make shure you bake it to kill anything) , ive found it’s better to make decor on how a animal acts, does your beardie climb alot? Or dig? Or run around? In my enclosure i have sand matts /corkbark tiles as a background in my zen habitat, i used a large piece of bark as a hide and excess pieces of corkbark to form it, i have a medium sized cork round that my beardie loves to crawl through and rest in , i have excavator clay and “red bedding” up against the back wall , pieces of slate rock on the right side, i bought a crystal and piece of pyrite cube that are on the wood on the sand side of my enclosure, I also got a fossil fish and ammonite as decor off etsy , my beardie doesn’t respect real plants nor eats them so i dont have them. Most beardies dont care what it looks like , but doesn’t mean it cant look nice right? :)

yeah I like this idea of having it sectioned off. He likes to dig especially before bed and when he lays around but I didn't want to make his whole cage sand because he is a sloppy eater. So I was worried about impaction. Maybe I can have a corner of my tank sand and keep food away from there..

Yeah natural was the word I was looking for. Is there any sites you can recommend to get them logs?

I know biodude sells corktubest those are the hollow tubes I got mine from a local shop I prefer that over the online driftwood lottery. The basking log is like a 30pound Malaysian driftwood. I also use cholla wood ATM. I was using ghost wood which is manzanita but I switched those to my cockatiel. I suggest finding some slate rock and stones etc . I bought a lot of dragon stone and red slate stone. The best decor is real live plants as they serve for food too

Is it possible for you to give me the places you purchased the materials for your enclosure? My beardie loves to run around, climb, and dig when he's getting ready to sleep. I'll just try and keep the food away from the sand to avoid compaction.

The sand was just sand from outside (i live in FL)
The cork bark backgrounds are from Amazon
The sand mat was from Amazon as well
The cork tube was from the pet store, I believe its the 12-15 inch one.
Excavator clay was from (you guessed it) Amazon
The “stone desert clay” (on the back left wall) was from the pet store (its a white bag with a orange beardie on it)
Everything else was either collected from my forest or bought on etsy (etsy items , fake plants, the fossil fish, the ammonite, the pyrite cube, the crystal)
