Hi, I am very new at owning a reptile. I used to have cats, then my 5 year old developed allergies to cats and had to give them away. So, decided to get a bearded dragon. We got her around the end of June as a 2-3 month old baby. All was well, she seemed happy, eating, pooping, friendly. Then she all of a sudden started puffing up at me every day for this past month. Even hissed at me one time. I can still pick her up, but she's angry. I'm handling her everyday and my son is upset because I won't let him hold her because she's always mad. Any ideas? What am I doing wrong? She's still eating and pooping fine.

Also, crickets are nasty. I don't like driving to the pet store, so I was getting 100 each time and keeping them in a bin with food and water... But they smell so bad! Any ideas on what I can do besides buying them everyday? Lol.

As far as the anger... mine was doing that for a while because I wasn't feeling him enough and it was like every timeI wanted to hold him he was hungry so he was like pissed off. And still he gets upset if he's hungry then I feed him and he's happy and lazy, but I would just recommend keep working with him and holding him. And I used to feed mine crickets and I bought 1000 online and they stunk so bad I had to clean out the tub like 3 times. I now feed Dubia roaches, they can not climb on glass or plastic tubs, don't make noise, and can't jump or fly. The best part is as long as you take out any dead roaches that might have dies there pretty much have no smell at all! I love them compared to crickets. They also have about 2-2.5 times more protein for them witch means you could feed like 7-8 and that's like 20 crickets. So I'm my opinion you are feeding him less but he's getting more from it! Hope some of this helped!
