Ok, so Jayne is only approximately 3 months old, but I was looking for gender anyway, and I’m thinking he’s pretty clearly a girl, right?

Thanks for the confirmation! We’ve been saying “he” all this time, so that’s going to take some adjustment! But we named her Jayne—technically after a male character—knowing it could easily go both ways. Ok, so I know that when they’re older they can lay infertile eggs. Are there any other girl-specific things I need to be aware of?

Girls are sugar and spice and everything nice :p Other than the egg thing there isn't really anything else to be concerned about between the sexes. Some girls don't even lay eggs. My oldest girl Dexter, yes she has a boy name, has never laid eggs or had follicles form or anything. My other girl is guesstimated about 5 and since I've had her she has never laid eggs either while she's been with me and i've had her almost 3 years.

We get confused for sure with the he/she thing. The frogs are all he even though I only have one male LOL! It's also confusing that Dexter is a girl and Luci is my boy. Oh and my paceman frog is named Otis and she's a girl!

I love it! Great names!
I’ve already corrected people several times this morning when they said he. We’ll get used to it soon.
