All dragons grow differently. two beardies may be 5 months old, that doesn't mean they will be the same size. That's How I see The Baby,Juvenile,Adult in my Beardie. she's a foot long. So I would say she's a bit Bigger then a juvenile. But not quite an adult. What's your Beardies age and size?

Thank you. My dragon is almost three months old and 8 inches in length. I just wondered if she is now a juvenile, or still classified as a baby. I read that at a year old they were considered an adult but I also read they aren't an adult until 18 months.

Got this from bearded dragon care sheet.http://beardeddragoncaresheet.weebly.com/general-info.html

Life Span and Size
In the wild, Bearded Dragons live an average of 3-5 years. In captivity, this time is lengthened to 7-10 years, although it is thought that they can live longer as more advanced ways of taking care of them are put into practice more often. They reach their adult growth by a year and a half. Bearded Dragons can be broken down into 4 age groups. Hatchlings is from 0-2 months, Juvenile is from 2 months to 7 months, Sub-Adult is from 7 months to 18 months, and Adult is 18 months on. In the wild, the average adult size is 24 inches, in captivity it is 18-22 inches, with 24 inches being relatively rare. This difference in size between the captive and wild Bearded Dragon population is largely because of excessive inbreeding rather than purposely trying to make them smaller, and also tends to come hand in hand with the fact that captive bred Bearded Dragons are generally much more fragile health-wise than their wild counterparts.

I can tell you that my friend took in a recue bearded dragon who was 3 years old and lost the tip of his tail and a few toes due to fighting with another dragon in the same cage. He is only 15 inches in length. She told me that "German" dragons get to be bigger in size than the normal ones. She thinks I have a German type according to her friend in the pet shop who initially rescued the dragon. The breeder who sold me Xena at a reptile convention did not mention she was German but he did show me pictures of the mother who was 23 inches in size and the father who was at the show was 24 inches in length.

My Beardie has also started getting more aggressive, Puffing out his beard and opening his mouth what could I do with that?

I'm new at this too, but is your dragon getting enough to eat? My dragon opened her mouth like she was going to bite you when she was hungry. I found that feeding her more solved the problem. She doesn't eat many greens but she can sure eat tons of crickets.

Some dragons are just naturally smaller. Also if they weren't raised in proper conditions when they were babies, their growth could be stunted. As long as you have the right lighting currently and feeding and dusting food with calcium and multivitamins you should have a healthy dragon.
