I have a dust buster and I used it last night to clean up the crix; dead and alive boy you would not believe the amount of dead and alive there were in her tank. but it done a great job.She eats the very little crix; as she is little-so they can hide and I just have a basking bridge for her and her salad dish and a 40-breeder tank. I have the bottom slate tiled but tiles are not stuck down so they can hide. But it's great and I figured it might bother her but no way she just moved out of the way and not stressed at all.I lined the tank with paper towels and put the slate on top, but not glued down so when she makes a mess just wipe clean and 1-2-week clean good.River-7

None of mine get stressed over the vacuum either. We have a vacuum that comes apart and becomes it's own handheld and we use it to vacuum their tanks out. We take the beardies out to do it but they don't don't get scared by the sound.

We tried tiles in our tanks but they weren't the right size so Luci in his running around was always rearranging them and making a ton of noise. We went back to carpet for him. It's worked out pretty good as long as we vacuum it off before we wash it.

Patsy; I got 12-12's and 6-6's and they fit perfect and look nice as well and I find the baby sleeps on the bare tile[slate] and no blankie. It holds the heat and keeps it cool @ night.and when they are full grown you can take out the slate tile and just wash and dry-[bake on low oven] and presto no bugs or nothing. They make a bigger mess when older and I do a full clean every week and take out the paper towels that I put on bottom of slate and clean glass and just put tiles back.this week-end I am going to add a log for her to bask on. And I think I am going to name her Cayenne; but that may change for now i'm calling her Mommie's baby lol-her colouring is like cayenne thus the name-If any one gets slate make sure to buy a few extra's in case your dragon decides to break a few.
