A Few Questions

I've been having problems with Bayne going to the bathroom lately. I'm not sure if it's because I finally figured out how to do his calcium/vitamins and now that he's getting them regularly it's kind of binding him up or what. Nothing else has changed though. The first time he didn't go for four days and I finally raised the temp of his bath water and he actually went in the bath. Now it's been two days since he has gone.

I included the pictures because he's never this, um, plump.
Also today I finally got my repti 10 and fixture in the mail along with his calcium without d3. I set it up so my next question is, should I start him on the calcium without d3 tomorrow?
The other question I had is...I bought repticarpet online for a 40gal tank, its the correct length but not width. Does that mean I have a 40gal breeder? And if so, does anyone know the dimensions of one? I can't find our tape measure, haha.

I got repticarpet for our tank, which I know is a 40 breeder, and it was the right width but I had to cut an inch or so off the length. A standard 40 tank is 48 x 13 x 17, while a 40 breeder is 36 x 18 x 17.

Can't help you with the poop, I'm just a newbie. Bayne is beautiful!

With the poop, give him some time if he doesn't go in about a week give him a little olive oil in his food to help his system go

His temps are normal. 105-107° under basking light. Depends on where he's at. (His pillow/bed is under the basking light as well as his hammock and basking rock) The warm side of the tank stays about 85-93° but it does fluctuate because of Wisconsin's lovely weather. Its normally about 89-90°. His cool side does the same from about 70 to the highest I've ever seen was 80° Night temps never drop below 65° though. I did recently have a couple of days of low humidity levels, but that's back to normal. He did go today but it was a bit dry so tonight I'm going to let him play in the bath for a while and mist some veggies before he eats them and hopefully that helps.
Maybe its not a breeder then. I'll have to dig out our tape measure and figure it out lol.

I guess I have another question. I just actually really noticed it for the first time.
Are a beardies toes suppose to curl by the nail? Not all of his toes are like this. You can see it in the pictures I posted above.

Is he eating his veggies? I would make sure he's hydrated if he's not eating his veggies you could always drip a bit of water on his nose and see if he will lick it off.

As far as the repticarpet goes, I always have to cut a little bit off along the length which is a pain because I can't cut a straight line!

As my beardies got older they stopped pooping everyday and got on a new schedule. Dolly goes every 3 or 4 days and Dexter goes once a week. If it's been longer than a week for Bayne, I would try some 100% canned pumpkin or baby food prunes.

BTW Bayne is GORGEOUS!

I forgot to mention about the nails/toes. They do tend to curl. Dexter and Luci's used to curl real bad that I didn't think they would be able to walk on them. They used to climb up bendy vines and hold on to them all day so it seemed like that position they held their feet in also made the toes curl. When I put tile down in their tank, not only did the nail tips file down, but they straightened out too. So now even with the carpet I make sure they have a few pieces of tile to smooth things down.

I was wondering if that was the cause. I've clipped/filled Baynes nails for a few months now but maybe that's a better route to go. What kind of tile are you referring to? I think tile and think of my kitchen tile which Bayne wouldn't even go near if I put that on one side of his tank. I'm guessing you're most likely referring to a rougher tile, something with a similar texture to rock?
Thank you everyone. Bayne truly is gorgeous. I haven't been able to get a good picture of it yet, but he has lots of reddish/orange on his face. He's being his usual morning hyper self so I'll log off quick and see if I can get a snap of it but I can't promise anything. He'll only hold still for about five seconds, LOL!

Alright so he definitely wasn't having much of my camera near his face. The last time I did that, he jumped onto my phone and then onto my face. Tim caught pictures of it so I'll post those too just FS&G! It's a lot brighter than it looks in this picture.

I bought a few tiles from Menards for like .30 each. Just unfinished ceramic tile or slate something with some texture or grip to it.
