Hi I have a healthy 4-month-old who eats crickets all the time and happily eats alot of dandelion greens. He is not interested in anything else. Is that ok or should I mix it up if so is there a nutrition advantage>

That is good, just keep trialing different things keep in mind that as babies they eat mostly proteins and then once adults they eat mostly greens.. So giving them different things is good. if you click on the general info link at the bottom of many of our signature lines you will find 2 great links for food items.

Yep offering different bugs is a good thing and yep 1 dubia = 5 crickets mainly because their GI tracts are really long so you can really gut load them and they are super meaty and juicy..

It's good to mix it up but especially with veggies if there's something they like keep it but just add other things with it. Like dandelion greens and mustard greens and a bell pepper or something. Still feed crickets but add another bug into the mix like dubia's or super worm or silk worm. Variety is good.

Have you tried the Dubai roaches? My guy loves them. Way more nutritious

Not easy to get in NJ and Roaches gross me out LOL

Crickets kind of gross me out, hey Im from JOISY

My local pet place (Pet Asylum in Howell NJ( gut loads their feeders with 20 different foods including oats and kale. They come ready like a pig on Christmas.

I just took some pics of Sunny I will share in the appropriate forum thanks for the reply

Yea I hear you on the roaches they do creep me out but after raising the crickets for years I prefer roaches.. you may be able to get discoid roaches just depends on the laws..no smell, no chirping from the males, no cleaning needed, don't bite, don't fly... I save so much time raising the roaches instead.
