We jus got our bby dragon a few days ago. And he was really perky at first. Running around the cage and ate crickets the first day. He is slowly starting to be immobile. He jus lays around the tank and doesn't move. When we pick him up, he's not alert, && doesn't move. He hasn't been eating. We've tried feeding him bugs and a salad and he won't eat. We bought this product that helps with the appetite of reptiles.
It's been about 2 days of not eating.
We don't know what to do.
Does anyone have suggestions or Any knowledge of what might be going on.
Please Help!

As the other poster asked please tell me where you got him from ? also we need to go over the basking bulb your using brand and bulb wattage how your getting basking temps? Digital probe thermometers are the best -- stick ons only give ambient temps --- the UVB this is crucial ---- what are you using a coil or a long tube fixture NO coils please they are no good ---- we need to get this fixed -- he cannot go long w/ out eating hes too young -- please drop water on his nose to see if he will lick --

Do u have the UVB long tubular light? Beardies need a heat lamp (zoomed basking bulb) and the Reptisun 10.0 T5 for UVB. The uvb needs to be replaced every 6 mnths and can be ordered on Amazon or a specialty reptile store. The length u order should cover 70 percent of the tank and make sure the Beardie has a hideaway with a soft fleece Val ket to hide as needed.
Without UVB the Beardie cannot absorb vitamin D, breakdown the calcium powder that u are suppose to be giving him 3-4 times a week sprinkled into e per day and will have brittle bones and eventually get MBD and die. Please get that ordered asap and the heat lamp and uvb need to remain on for 1-12 hours in the winter and 12-14 in the summer. Beardies have more energy in the summer. Also use an infrared gun and a digital thenrnoter to test the temp. It should be 100-105 for a juvenile and after he turns 8-9mnths of age; they like it between 95-98. Get him a hammock also so he can lounge behind the basking spot for warmth at a lesser temp. Also mist him a few times a day and baths twice a week in dechlorinated water; buy Reptisafe. And food wise; only feed crickets and Dubia roaches 4-5 times a day and the veggies everyday a plate so he can munch on them. Never do bottled food or meal worms beacsue it destroys their tummy.
When they turn 6months u can do proteins 2-3 times a day and after a year of age every other day or a few times a week and after 1.5 yrs of age proteins 1-2 times a week but always the plate of greens and veggies. Mustard greens, yellow squash, butternut squash, collard greens, endives and for fruits blueberries, mangoes or papayas as treats a few times a week. GLuck

I'd have the vet do a fecal sample..make sure he/she doesn't have parasites, we almost lost our two baby when they were younger. No way to prevent them..bugs carry parasites ..but they can be deadly to young dragons- Husband didn't want to pay for vet even I KNEW something seemed really OFF so let it go on for about 2 week-they almost died it was a brutal long expensive extremely time consuming recovery. I hope your baby feels better soon
