Hi- this is my first post- we just got our first bearded dragon today!- so excited- we purchased a 100 watt ceramic bulb( zoo med) and an exoterra desert uvb 150 bulb with 2 flukers housing lamps- is this s good set up- 30 gallon tank. Hearing lots about a heat/ uv bulb all in one maybe being better- thank you for any help

Hello & Welcome;

I would suggest getting a:
http://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Repti...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

appropriate size for your terrarium of course.

30Gal is ok for a little guy but you will be upgrading quick as they grow like weeds; a 40Gal breeder is suggested as a minimum. There is never really too big of an enclosure for these guys;

Right now Petco is having a 1Gallon per dollar sale; you can get a large tank for cheap. (Just a suggestion)

You need a heat gradient so a hot basking side of between 105-110 and a cooler side around 80-85ish.

At night they can drop into the low 70s but never below 65 degrees.

If you have difficulties keeping temps up a ceramic heat emitter will be good; otherwise not really needed.

If you do get a CHE make sure that you have an appropriate lamp because they can blow out lamps and cause fires.

id really recommend not getting a UVB bulb but rather the tube as I linked above; some can cause star gazing and other illnesses. (These are things you don't want to experience.)

Some other members have some really good resources in their signatures; I'd recommend checking them out;

Welcome to the forum! We love pictures as it helps us to see what you've got going on and if there is anything that we can help you tweak if needed...I agree with Elders on the lighting the reptisun T5 10.0 HO is the way to go as the T5 can penetrate thru mesh tops and ideally they should be covering 2/3rd or more of the tank and should overlap with the basking bulbs to help in digestion and absorption.
Looking forward to seeing and helping in any manor we can.
