Hi everyone I'm moving my dragon to a 40 gallon breeder I got a reptisun ubv light bar as recommended I still have that basking light for 2 I bought a 75 watt bulb for it I already have a 75 watt bulb in the other one I also have a ceramic heat emitter and the temperature is still kind of lower about 80 on the hot side I have a heat mat but was advised not to use it. Is it a good idea to use 2 basking bulbs in place of the coil that was in there?

I think your problem may be that your bulb wattage is too low. In order to properly heat a 40 gallon breeder, most people have the best luck with a 100 watt bulb. Make sure that your light fixture can handle the wattage.

And make sure your getting the basking temps w/ a digital probe thermometer NO stick ons they are inaccurate
What UVB are you using long tube T 8 or a T 5 placement in tank is crucial for UVB rays --- you only need one good basking bulb --- you do not want to burn your dragon up so please use a digital probe to get that temp

Ok so where is the T 5? It can be on top of the tank as long as your screen is a wide holed screen if it's a fine mesh it needs to be inside the tank - distance plays a role in placement so tell me your screen and where it's at
