It looks like an injury to me. Personally I'd just cull that one out. I understand the need to use them, but I also agree with @Sadie They aren't tye best, they can introduce your beardie to a host of parasites.
I would put them in a clean container and monitor them for a week or so for die offs. If none are dying, I'd still use them. If they are dying off, toss them.
I'd also do like @Sadie mentioned and pick up some superworms at petsmart (or whatever store is near) as an alternative for the time being
Yes, that is fairly common. Relocation stress can last a few days to a few weeks. Just keep offering bugs and salad and give him time to adjust. He looks really good in the pictures, he won't starve in a few days time. Maybe keep interaction with him to a minimum while he is adjusting. I've had...
My setups are all 4x2x2 so a bit smaller. (Except my newest is a 40 gallon with a hatchling in it)
I use the Zen Habitats bamboo. I add windows to the rear of every habitat. And I place them all to have an outside view. All my beardies absolutely love being able to see out. The amount of...
Dry lock is considered safe after fully cured. However beardies tend to scratch stuff up. I wouldn't scrap my habitats but I would seal over the dry lock with a low to no V.O.C. polyurethane. Once that is fully cured (zero off gassing or fumes) it should be safe abd the polyurethane should be...
I agree with @Sadie he is big for 5 months. It's not impossible but it also isn't healthy for them to grow that fast. You might want to scale his protein intake back some. He'll likely end up being 24ish inches. Maybe more.
I use a ferret nation 2 story wire cage. The ramp to the lower section closes to separate the top and bottom so you can put a couple beardies in at once. The bars are close enought that a sub-adult or larger can't wedge their head between them. And they are heavy enough that a cat or even large...
He looks to be a g-stripe ( genetic stripe) if his nails are all clear he would be a hypo also. He us a normal scale with good color saturation.
The only actual morph I can see in the pictures is g-stripe.
From what I can see Flame is a hypo, his color is light enough I'd call him citrus, and I can see the stripes look like they continue on down the tail, so he's a color stripe.
I would call call him a hypo, citrus, color stripe
On a side note his head looks more female, are you sure he IS a he...
There is not a lot of them around any more, it's to bad I really like them. My first beardie was a G.Giant.
The best place to look is Morphmarket.com. I do still see them there occasionally. It will probably be a game of patience though, just keep checking back. Their filter system is pretty...
