What to put as a basking furniture

They love to sit on the cat scratcher perched up on the window cill. & they watch the cars go bye. I was thinking about getting one of those carpeted cat towers for them to sit by the back window when the sun shines through. Anyone have one of those? I'm curious if they would use it.

What to put as a basking furniture

Here is a pic of my new tank I'm getting ready for my new female that will be here on Wednesday. Same concept, log under uvb. 2 hides. Hammocks & cat scratching thing. My dragons love to lay on their cat scratching thing & look out & watch us all day.

What to put as a basking furniture

I try keep my tanks simple. But I get carried away. Anyway, home depot 78¢ bricks & $1.25 square ft slate/stone tile makes a great hide/basking area. The slate is also a nice substrate if you cut it to your tanks dimensions. I always start my decorating with a nice piece of wood to set them up...

    General Re-evaluation of Iggys estate

Hey everyone, I was just looking at old posts & I saw this version of iggys tank. I actually just added a few things today & I got no complaints from him this time. I went to home depot and got 6 small bricks & 2 slate square foot tiles. I made a platform & hide on both sides of his tank & he...

    New Bio Active Setup

I would love to know how this goes for you. I just ordered 2 kits from the bio-dude, 1 for my leopard geckos and 1 for my dubia colony. I'm very curious as to how this would work for my beardies. I have 3. But I'm still not completely convinced.

    General Re-evaluation of Iggys estate

Iggys being a lazy boy today.. See that section of wall in between the 2 vents? When he is on his walkway & jumps up to his wood, he uses the wall for leverage, & since there's no texture for him to grab on he slips & i hear him scratching & scratching the wall trying to get up there. So I saw a...

My daughter always has Iggy with her when she does her homework.. Here she woke up & was doing some crafts. He just sits & watches everything outside. He loves that window view.

    Snuggly beardies!

This thread is so old.. I was new here when I 1st posted in this conversation & my boy was a baby.. Only had him 2 weeks. Was fun seeing this again.. He still sleeps on that bird bed from when he was little (page 2) but I cut it & laid it in his Den.. He has slept on this since he was a baby boy..

    General Re-evaluation of Iggys estate

Thanks everyone! I love to decorate his enclosure. Tried to keep it simple but not so he would get bored.. He was so mad when I put his 2 new hammocks in but he loves them now. The 2 major changes now are his main hide being on the other side & that hide is now cramping his poop spot.. So I hope...

    General Re-evaluation of Iggys estate

Ok so I made some changes today. I got him a 50 watt bulb & while I was at petsmart I was looking at something & i set him down on this cat ramp/scratch thing & he looked pretty content on it. When I tried to pick him up to leave, he scrambled to get back to it. So I got it. & had to rearrange...

    General Re-evaluation of Iggys estate

Oh ok.. I have a 75 watt zoo med bulb in there right now & I cant adjust the height of the bulb.. I can only move the basking spot further away or go with a 50 watt bulb.. Think 50 watts is enough?
