    Orange Vs. Red

Great Dragons guys. Brian, number three is red and SMOKIN! Tom, that leather is HOT! True red is really rare in the states. I see mostly red/orange, not red/purple.The majority of "red" dragons here in the states are orange. Even using the parents as a guide to the babies doesn't work. I...

My bella X Dr. evil clutch is hatching

Great clutch Brian! I love the diversity of patterns. Some these are going to be smokers. Its always nice to see dragons with color out the egg.

    Roxy's Last Clutch!

Congrats Tom. How old is Roxy? I have a beardie laying a clutch right now. I'm going to dig it up and throw them out. I was too lazy to dig up her last clutch that she laid a few weeks ago, so now I'm gonna have to incubate the eggs that made it.

    Happy 1st Birthday Yoyo!

Congrats! I'd bet most beardies don't make it to there first birthday. Good job on letting a dragon see it.

    This cricket virus thing

I used to call it "Operation Room clean enclosures" and "Sterile environments". People would get so mad at me :) Then I would show them pictures of my dragons, who literally live in dirt. This is the sad truth. I can only speak for myself when I say that I killed alot of lizards prematurely...

    This cricket virus thing

I wanted to quote some great points you guys made, but there was too many :) Caresheet husbandry is like a person who doesn't have children, that suddenly was given a child to watch for a day. It goes something like this...... " Don't touch that. Don't go over there. Don't run. Don't put that...

    Baby Pic

Her head shed. Her body is still white. I'm not expecting anymore color. After she sheds I'm gonna put her up for sale. I'll post pics.

Candice, They say smooth caterpillars are ok, but hairy are no good. They can also eat snails :P

Temp fluctuations - nothing has changed

I'm glad everything worked out. I don't usually help people directly. I'll post experiences and opinions, and try to get people to think, but I try not to help a person with a single husbandry problem. The reason is, because I do things so differently, I have a hard time giving advise about...

    This cricket virus thing

You are the man Red ;) I feed wild bugs every year. My reptiles love grasshoppers, katydids, locusts, moths.... I'll have the kids catch them from a field or something, keep them for a day or two, and feed them off. When I was a kid, we would catch bugs for my fathers lizards. He wouldn't...

Temp fluctuations - nothing has changed

Nice enclosure! The goal is to get good air temps with the lowest watt bulb possible. Air temps can be low 70's on the cool side and low hundreds on the hot side. Once you establish this, the basking spot is easy. Simply raise or lower the platform until you get your desired temps. Your...

    Dried, pre-packaged bearded dragon food?

I don't use it personally. If your a beginner, I'd recommend greens like Collards and Mustards. They are proven effective. Sounds like a nice, stimulating treat though :)

    Mealworm question

Spike looks big so I'd recommend supers. I've read a lot of troubled threads with mealworms and young dragons. It seems that husbandry has to be good in order to feed them. So in that respect, I wouldn't recommend mealies.
