Spikes Site
I "rescued" Spike from my 9 year old nephew last year. No one would spend any time with him, take him outside, or talk to him. Prior to that, I NEVER had any interest in any kind of reptile, preferring dogs and cats. He is incredibly friendly and observant, and can even alert bad weather. We had a couple of tornadoes in the area recently, and he went crazy just before they hit. He won't poop in his aquarium - preferring outside or in the bathtub when I wash him. People are amazed that when I pick him up, his coloring changes to yellow/orange. I tell them he's happy when he's held.
