Hi Sadie, bad news unfortunately. Advised by my vet we decided it was best that my beardie got peace instead of putting her through a complicated and harsh surgery. :( Thank you for your advice and quick replies regardless.
Hi, it's probably worse than previously thought. I looked into her mouth today and I realized it looks like the front part of her right teeth have entirely lifted from her jaw, as in unattached. Vet has been called and scheduled. :(
I will try, thanks. Is there anything else I can do in the mean time? I've cleaned the terrarium and her stuff as much as I can and put paper towels in as substrate.
I'm not sure I will be able to get some of that today. Most artisan shops are closed for today (I'm in Europe) and I don't know if they carry it in supermarkets. I think the cricket was an ok size, a little smaller than the space between her eyes
Hi all, I just fed my beardie a large cricket and she started bleeding from the mouth.
The blood has stopped flowing but I don't know what to do with her and the wound until I can get to a vet tomorrow. Any advice on what to do until then?
Thank you. I have only tried crickets so far since it's the only thing I've been able to find in an acceptable size. I'm not in the US so I don't know if those website you have will work. I've only found BSFLs in XL which I think is maybe too big. Dubia roaches I have found online in small sizes...
