    new beardy

So, has your bearded dragon perked up? Since you are new to dragon care, I'll direct you to the site's caresheet. Once you get the basics down (temps, lighting, food, bathing, housing),. it will be a breeze caring for your dragon. http://mybeardie.com/general_information.php

    Salad Stack! Lolz

Gotta love the poopy dance! Cute pic. He does look a bit perturbed, doesn't he? So, did he eat the greens or toss them off?

    Rant.

Sorry to hear that. It really is sickening how many out there care more about making a dollar than the well being of a living creature.

    Strange....

Huh. I'll have to research this one. I've found that folks are true to their zodiac. I know that I am. I don't get how you can up and change this stuff that we defined so long ago. You are correct. It will be mass confusion for those that follow it.

    My beardie makes whooshing noises

You may want to try and up your temps. A 5 month old should have the basking side around 105-110F. If this noise is related to eating, hotter temps may help his body ramp up for digestion.

I think my dragon is entering brummation?!?

It's always a good idea to get a fecal done before brumation. Yes, dragons in brumation need to stay hydrated. As Lisa pointed out, I'm curious about storing food in his beard. Can you elaborate? Or point me to that post. I think I missed that one.

    Mybeardie.com Ownership

Aw, thanks everyone! You made me blush. I coulnd't have done it without all of you. As corny as that sounds, it is true. Everyone here is a great bunch. We've weeded out the close minded folks. That is important! I'll be around, just not every day. I'm still passionate about dragons and want to...

    Mybeardie.com Ownership

Hi, Everyone. I wanted to take the time to give you a heads up that you will be seeing less of me around. Through lengthy thoughts and discussions, my hubby and I decided to sell mybeardie.com. The site was becoming too demanding of my time and the timing was right for the sale. You have built...

hi everyone. im worried pete is sick

If he's climbing up to it, it's ok. Ideally, UV light should be about 8-10 inches from your dragon. Getting about 10-14 hours of UV light per day is important too. Bulbs should be replaced every 6 months too.

hi everyone. im worried pete is sick

It's amazing how much we rely on poop with these guys. I would give him daily baths. What is the distance between the UV light and the floor?

    Its a....

I feel for you. I know a lot of people struggle with names. Names have always come to my naturally, for my pets and kids. I only had 1 name turned down by hubby for a boy. It was Ryan and only by association. Try to quiet your mind and tune into that baby. See what comes to mind.

    Strange....

Wow, I did not hear about any of this. Why the change? I'm not affected, but my hubby and boys are. Well, I guess not cuz they were all born before 2009. I'm just curious about the change cuz all are very characteristic of their sings. Hubby is a true and true Picsces and boys show that they are...

    Dehydrated Dragon, Emergency Help

Looks like everyone handled your dehydration concerns. I just to add a couple things, well a couple of questions. 1. Where exactly do you live? We have members who can help you find a herp vet. I would highly recommend having a fecal test run on your dragon. If his conditions were poorly kept...

hi everyone. im worried pete is sick

I have to say that I don't see anything alarming here. Your temps are fine. You can try upping them to see if that helps with pooping. You are replacing the UV, which could be a factor too. One thing to keep in mind that dragons are dessert animals. Their inner instinct tells them that food...
