Uvb is more than 12 inches for sure. And I think if the basking light goes any closer, it'll be too hot. It's reading at about 110°F directly under the bulb.
Also, the enclosure measures 16" in height and the uvb is at the max height and zip tied at an angle to reach a good amount of the enclosure, especially in the basking area.
Hello, I was giving my beardie a bath the other day and when I was drying him off, I noticed these 2 wounds on his front legs. The left one looks worse than the right. Is this something that I can take care of at home? I don't have the money for a vet at the moment...

It's been over a week since he's moved in to his new place and he seems to really like it!
The tree is more for decoration purposes. We're gonna get fake plants to wrap it around. And the basking light has an adjustable knob so I can lower the temp on it. Also, the building i made him is pyramid shaped. It also has sanded grout so it feels like rock. He seems to like it.
He's 2 years old. The first thing he did was climb on the small building on the left hand side. Basking light is 12" from the rock, 16" from the floor, 150w and before I placed him in there, temp on the rock read 105F. A 120 gallon tank measures at about 48" x 24" x 24". My custom enclosure...
I'm not a reptile enclosure builder, but I'm still giving it a go. And I've been Googling the hell out of everything, even when I first got Spike about a month ago, so I got a pretty solid understanding of what to use and avoid. I posted my question here because I couldn't find a straight answer...
