Thanks Sadie :) we got him up on Nextdoor and Facebook but I’ll definitely get some posters out too. Good to know about the no switching tanks. We got an appointment for Wednesday thankfully hopefully he poops by then. All of our lighting is correct and at the right temps. Hopefully someone...
My mom rescued this big dragon from outside near her place and we are waiting till the end of the week to see if anyone will claim him. In the meantime I’m setting up a vet appointment and trying everything we can to make him comfortable. He’s incredibly stressed out at the moment. He’s been...
Thanks for the reply Emilia! :) I have been suspecting for a while that it was tail rot at the end because his tail was so dark, but I also just thought he was always stressed out. Thankfully we lost maybe half an inch and you can’t even really notice it.
Thank you for the reply! I think his toes are okay. They’re all still there (surprisingly) but the really long ones are all a little wonky looking. I don’t see any shed on them though so maybe they’re just suppose to look like that. I’ll give him another soak tonight and watch over them as well.
Just some background. Butcher is probably seven years old now and I got him back in September 2020 out of a neglected situation. He had some stuck shed on him, but I didn't realize until recently how bad it was. I think he has some tail rot because the other day some of his scales started coming...
It is more than nine inches away because it’s a 150 watt bulb and it gets around 90 degrees on his basking rock with it being the 12 inches away. His new tanks 4ft x 2ft x 2ft. I’ve added a picture of him climbing his enclosure prior to installing the UVB lamp. The other heat lamp on the other...
I only started to open it to get him to stop recently and it's worked pretty well. My boyfriend just let me know that he actually did glass surf more than I originally thought, but I didn't know because he was in his office before we moved him upstairs to the bedroom so I was never really around...
Hello! A little background if needed. My dragon Butcher is around 6/7 years old now and I got him months ago from a coworker after she had gotten him from a neighbor that neglected him and stuck him in the garage for the past 1-2 years. His whole life until december, when I could finally afford...
I believe it has gotten up to 80%, but not too often or for long. I know that's still harmful to him though. The basking light in the back corner of the tank. It sits on top of the mesh lid of the tank. The tank itself temp is 80 degrees. How should I measure the basking temp?
Hello everyone. I got my bearded dragon a couple weeks ago and at first he was doing fine, but now he has a really dark stress marks and I’m not sure what to do. He’s six years old and this is his second rehoming. I have a feeling it has to do with the high humidity in his tank. We put a...
