    Thanks for the info. I had a lot of trouble finding safe topsoil that wasnt pre-mixed with peat moss, but I will keep looking. might be tough to mix very well at this point since it's all in his terrarium but hopefully i can till some in at least some or most of the way down.

    Thanks a bunch jarich. Some really fantastic info. Yoshi already seems happier in his new environment and I can't wait to get some inverts in there to kick off the bio activity. I do have one more question - the final dirt mix (3 parts topsoil including peat moss to 1 part sand) doesnt hold...
