If you move the thermostat towards the cooler end it automatically makes the hotter end hotter as what it does it controls the temperature where the probe is.
In theory therefore if you have the thermostat right at the cold end and had the temp set to maximum the hot end will go ridiculously...
Augie, yeah, I sorted it. I simply moved the thermostat probe towards the cooler end and played with the temp until i had it right.
trial and error really!

From what distance to the heat bulb should the basking platform be?
As you'll see from my pics of the inside of my empty viv, the heat bulb hangs down from the top of the viv as opposed to being flush from the top so any basking platform I create...

Just to let you know where I'm upto;
I've got the temps to 78 degs in the cold side and 105-110 degs in the hot side which is really pleasing.
The Viv's up, just need a basking log and we're ready to go.

Thanks.Shall i attach the thermometer probe to the basking platform as that will be the hottest place or try attach it to the side of the viv nearest to the basking spot?
I am a little bit concerned that we wont reach the desired temperatures as the dimmer stat we have (Habistat) only goes up...
