    Growing your own Beardie Food

I have collard and swiss chard in my yard that I am growing for Moonpani. I also have a ton of dandelions (as our neighbors have completely given up fighting off this weed. Thing is, Moonpani's all time FAVORITE green is Dandelion. I'd love to grow it organically in my garden but I am unsure...

    Mixed Greens Question

I buy a mix with this exact blend of veggies whenever I can't find fresher greens on the supermarket shelves or cannot get to a farmer's market on time. Basically I buy the bags out of desperation. The Kale in the blend doesn't bother me though, I'm not relying on bagged salad mixes for...

    Moving Day- Feed or not?

My Moonpani is moving into his dream house. It is going to be a short trip in the car (less than ten minutes) but it is cold here. Should I give him his normal meals or skip them for the day or even feed a little less? He already seems anxious about stuff changing in his room due to packing...

Urgent advice needed on sick and injured dragon!

From your first post I was thinking that I wished you were going to end up keeping him so I'm glad to hear that the owners are willing to consider it. I hope that you have a long time with reptiles in your future because the hobby needs dedicated and responsible people to balance the few who...

Please help. Juvenile Beardie w/ yellow fungus disease

I use chlorahexaine for my primary cleaner for reptiles- and my cat's stuff actually. It is one of the cleaners they use in veterinary offices. I soak all decor- even wood with it. It needs to soak for 20 minutes to be effective and the diluted solution shouldn't sit too long. I make a fresh...

    Dragon Memories

Well I think they certainly learn which leads me to believe that they have some degree of implicit memory. In other words I doubt Dexter is recalling the strawberry incident consciously but the movement or position of your hand can be triggering an automatic response to a less conscious memory.

Urgent advice needed on sick and injured dragon!

I really commend you for taking your temporary charge to the vet and being willing to do whatever it takes to get him well! It'd be great if there were more people like you imo. If you have a tape measure just take the tank's basic measurements and post them or google search them and you...

    Black dust

Black dust could be from mold but that is highly unlikely if you are keeping his humidity down and not spraying the bark. My best guess is that it is just particles from the bark.

Am I headed in the right direction?

I think it looks real pretty but it needs some tweaking. Unfortuanately the big name herp supply companies have more of a desire to sell product than ensure the health of our pets. It makes me angry to see products being recommended for bearded dragons that are actually horribly dangerous...

    How do you say no?

It is natuaral to want another one but if you keep looking at sites where they are sold you could eventually have a hoarding situation on your hands. Becareful the cuteness of a baby beardy is a trap to lure you in:) But be STRONG and don't look at the sites anymore. Once your past the stage...

    How do you say no?

This is an easy one. I know how much it costs to feed and house, and replace UVB bulbs for my single beardie for a year. Do I have enough money for another one? Do I have savings for routine and emergency vet care for TWO? Can I house twice as many feeders or order feeders 2x as often? And...
