I was definitely going to hold off breeding them for a couple years anyways. I want to be more established with my leopard gecko breeding before I commit to breeding beardies. It's easy to keep a few extra geckos around. It's not easy to keep extra beardies around.

She needs a name. Her "husband" is Atlas. So I'm stuck picking her name.
I decided I want her name to be the wife of Atlas. And there are two names I like. Pleione (play-enee) and Aethra (Aith-rah). They are both the same woman. Aethra means bright sky. Pleione means to increase in number and...
I've introduced Atlas before. My hypo citrus big boy.
Well, after two month of quarantine, a a bath, he met his girlfriend! She is a citrus tiger.
And they seems to like each other during their first meeting. She does have her own tank, but I introduced them in his tank.

I would definitely get rid of the red light. Regardless if they can see red or not, it still shows up as a brightness in their tank at night. Go with a ceramic heat emitter.
My beardie refused to eat for a week when I got him. It sometimes takes a little while for them to settle in.

He's a gorgeous boy. But he's such a brat. Some days he will beg to be taken out. Most days, I walk by and he hisses and puffs his beard out. It almost reminds me of my teenage brother. Haha.
Sorry if this is a silly question. I got my Atlas the week before Christmas and have never had "large" lizards before, so I'm not used to how quickly they gain weight.
He hatched in July, I'm not sure of the exact date. When I got him, he was 108g. Tonight, he is 305g.
I know there is no...

I have also had cresties. I am a big fan of them. They have so much personality and some do enjoy being handled. What I like best is that you do not need additional heat as *usually* room temperature would be fine. And by room temperature, I mean 70-80 degrees. They do not like to be over 85...
I've had experience with both. I personally like anoles better. They aren't as skittish. I also think they are easier to care for in general. They are bulkier. They, in my experience, have more personality and are easier to handle. Other than that, basic care is pretty much the same.

I never thought about him seeing his reflection, but that makes sense.
BDs are so much different than Leos. Atlas has a very spunky attitude.
And the whole awake during the day. All my reptiles, lizards and snakes, have always been nocturnal. I love having one to interact with during the day...
