Ruger devours his salad and pretty much anything and everything in his food bowl, Sydney wont eat her greens, etc if im watching...even then she wont eat much, maybe a couple bites here and there (I dont complain, I'd rather have her eat some then none)
So like Patsy said, every beardie is...
I was always into reptiles,..grew up with dogs but I always wanted something "different" so I got a lizard (it was a ameiva...loved him to death) and since then I've always owned reptiles (mostly lizards, had a couple of snakes but lizards always held my fancy). I used to only have tegus...
Never had a problem with that towards me, he's generally "calm" with me but anyone or anything else he's a little hell raiser lol
He definitely is my "problem child" while Sydney is the sweetest thing I have ever met...guess they balance eachother out :)
I only wanted one, especially after I got my little **** head Ruger...he was a handful from the start but I loved him.....probably about 5 months or so after I got him a friend came to me and asked me if I would "rescue" Sydney, saw a pic and I was done for lol (I brought her home that day)
Im...
Since we're on the topic of tile I have a question...what type/kind of tile do you all use? Ive been toying around with the idea of using tile instead of substrate in my cages since itll help save me some green and will be easier to clean but would like to know the best type of tile to use.
Oh...
Ruger will do the same thing, poops on his basking rock.....Sydney will go in one corner and does it and Pharaoh (my sudan plated lizard) will only poop in his food bowl...yuck!
I can post a video of him all black beard, puffed up and head bobbing but not of him attacking another lizards cage (I dont want him to get hurt since he actually will ram the other cage multiple times and at high speeds) like I said, he is closely supervised by me, the only time he can run...
I guess im overly cautious (if there is such a thing) since I never let any of my animals interract with eachother. The only one I would even remotely trust is Sydney but thats because she is very tame and hasnt shown one ounce of aggression since Ive had her, still too early to tell with my...
Thanks guys, he is a very happy boy!! He's way different than my two beardies, he knows my voice and will come to the front of the tank when I get home, and I've only had him for 4 days, took alot longer for my beardies (especially my male)
2 Beardies
3 dogs (all males, 2 Aussie mixes and one pit)
and my newest member...
Sudan Plated Lizard (named him Pharaoh)
He is very, very sweet...loves to have his head rubbed and will even push up on my finger if I stop petting him and he wants more
Sydney will stay as long as I let her, she'll just sleep (preferrably on me) or watch tv, Ruger likes to roam around so after about 30 minutes I'll put him back in (he likes to get into things)
Aw that first pic of your little girl with her head on the ground broke my heart. Glad she's doing better tho, she's very lucky to have someone as dedicated as you are!!
:)
