They're a little expensive, but get some super worms and mix it with the veggies/greens. The worms moving with the greens will give the illusion that the veggies are "alive" and moving. And when they miss a worm, they'll get a mouthful of greens instead. That might help.

A little over a month ago I inherited two beardies (one male, one female) that were being neglected. Since I took them in, they've been living like kings. Great diet, new bigger tank, etc.
They're both a little over a year old, 15 inches long, and originally were in a 20gal long...
