Can I custom something for an adult?

Sorry, I haven’t been on the forum in quite a while! We built our enclosure from melamine, using stone tile floor and bricks for the stairs. We watched a bunch of YouTube videos for ideas on how other people did theirs and just kind of combined our favorite things and made up others that...

    Genderless bearded dragon!?

At this age, it would be really hard to tell, unless you’re super experienced. It’ll be easier by 4-6 months old.

    Suddenly Aggressive Dragon

SO jealous of your uromastyx! But then, this would have started before you brought it home, right? Maybe it’s just a mating season thing? Weird that he’s trying to get under his mat. You’re sure it’s a boy? Hopefully the pros will be online this weekend. They’ll probably have more ideas...

    Suddenly Aggressive Dragon

How old is he? You might want to bump down the temp a bit. Babies like it close to 110*, but he looks adult, and they like it closer to 95*. Other than that, I have no idea—and that doesn’t seem like it would cause aggression, especially if that’s what he’s used to. Are any of the other pets...

    Suddenly Aggressive Dragon

He looks very regal. Is there something new about his environment? What are the temps and how are they measured? What uvb light do you have and how old is it? What is his diet? Is he pooping ok? Eating? Often times, when they suddenly change like that, there’s something wrong in their...

    My beardie isn’t doing anything

Is he maybe trying to brumate? Is he basking or going in a hide? Is he eating? Pooping? Has he ever brumated before?

Proper UVA/UVB Lighting for 40 Gallon

Quick correction: t5 and t8 technically refers to the circumference of the tube bulbs, but it affects the UVB output.

Proper UVA/UVB Lighting for 40 Gallon

t5 and t8 refer to the strength of the uvb from the bulb. t5 is stronger, and with a reflector hood, it is ok to mount over a screen. t8 must be mounted under the screen, or not enough UVB will get through to the beardie. I prefer t5, even mounted within her tank. You want reptisun t5 10.0...

    Hornworm for beardies

Romaine isn't good, either. Ideal are the greens: mustard, collards, turnip, dandelion...

    Hornworm for beardies

Most hornworms come with food already in their container. Did yours not? Also, cabbage isnt a great staple for a beardie. This site gives lots of items and how often to feed them: http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html

Bearded dragon not moving and lethargic

Yay for no parasites! Let us know what the vet says.

    Swollen ankles?

You can get some hot hands or small animal warmers (which are like hot hands but last longer and are a more appropriate temperature), wrap it in a towel so the beardie can't touch it directly and get burned, and tuck it into the carrier with the beardie to keep it warm while being transported...

    Swollen ankles?

With swollen ankles, MBD wouldn't be my thought. Gout is a fairly common beardie condition. A vet can check for gout by aspirating some fluid from the swelling and looking at it under a microscope for uric acid crystals. There are medications you can give to manage the condition. Does he...

    Help Getting Basking Spot Correct?

And sorry, I forgot you’re in Celsius, not Fahrenheit. Do you feel you need to use a thermostat? I have thermostats for my python, but I don’t use one for my beardie.

    Help Getting Basking Spot Correct?

You need the thermostat probe at the basking spot and set the temp there. How old is your beardie? Babies need around 107* at the basking spot, adults need around 95*. Once the basking spot is correct, then check your other temps and go from there.
